TiltBridge#
Cloud Hosted
TiltBridge receives the Bluetooth broadcasts of a Tilt Hydrometer and forwards them over Wi-Fi. This page shows how to point TiltBridge at BrewGraph. It is available on every plan.
What you need#
A TiltBridge device added in BrewGraph under Devices. BrewGraph shows its device token once, together with the ready-to-copy addresses.
A TiltBridge with the Configure Generic JSON Target page.
Configure TiltBridge#
In TiltBridge, open Configure Generic JSON Target. Fill in:
Field |
Value |
|---|---|
Generic Target URL |
|
Update |
Press Update to save the target. |
The plain address without a token does not work. TiltBridge then shows Send
Error: Authentication failed, because BrewGraph answers 401 to a request
that has no valid token.
Payload#
Gravity is required. TiltBridge sends it as specific gravity (
G) or Plato (P); Plato is converted to specific gravity on ingest.Temperature is optional. TiltBridge sends it in Celsius (
C) or Fahrenheit (F); Fahrenheit is converted to Celsius on ingest. The Tilt’s colour in the payload is ignored. The device is the one the token belongs to.
The payload carries no battery, signal strength or angle, so none is stored.
Check that it works#
Press Update and wait for TiltBridge to send its next reading.
Open the device in BrewGraph. The latest reading, with its gravity and temperature, should appear on the device page.
Assign the device to the batch that is fermenting to see the readings on the batch chart.
Troubleshooting#
401: the address has no token, or the token is mistyped. Copy the address again from the device page.422: the gravity is missing or is not a number, or a unit is not one ofG,P,CorF.
